1.What is the expected life of a LiFePO4 battery?

  Battery life is measured in life cycles. GSOK LiFePO4 battery is typically rated to deliver 6000 cycles. Actual life expectancy is dependent on several variables based on your specific application. If used for the same application, a lithium battery can last up to 3-4 times longer than a lead-acid battery.

2.How long will it take to charge a lithium battery?

  Lithium iron phosphate batteries can be charged in as fast as 1 hour. We recommend using a rate that charges our batteries in 2-5 hours. Please refer to the data sheet for your particular model, to find the recommended charge rates. All of our data sheets are available on our website within the product section.

3.How deep can a lithium iron phosphate battery be discharged?

  LiFePO4 batteries can be discharged up to 100% without risk of damage. Make sure you charge your battery immediately after discharge. We recommend discharging be limited to 80-90% depth of discharge (DOD) to avoid the BMS disconnecting the battery.

4.How long do lithium batteries last in an RV?

  Generally speaking, deep cycle lithium batteries have a longer life than lead-acid batteries, lithium ion phosphate battery have a design life of 10 years, high-quality lithium phosphate battery are more than 6000 cycles, maintenance is also much more convenient than lead-acid batteries, which is one of the reasons why many people choose to install lithium ferro phosphate battery in RVs.

5.If I want to upgrade to lithium iron phosphate batteries. What do I need to know?

  You need to consider the capacity, power, and size requirements, as well as making sure you have the right charger. Keep in mind, when upgrading from lead-acid battery to LiFePO4, you may be able to downsize your battery and keep the same runtime.
